LEGO over the years has released Spring Festival sets to celebrate the Chinese/Lunar New Year and one of this year’s set is the Fortune Firecracker (80118). It has 1,039 pieces and retails for $89.99.

Minifigures
There are six minifigures in this set including the God of Fortune. He has on a highly decorative red robe with some pearl gold detailing on both sides. He also wears a brick-built hat with a printed round tile.

The grandfather wears a gray striped suit. His accessory is a brick-built firecracker. If you watched any old school Hong Kong movies or even The Martian, he reminds me of Eddy Ko.

The grandmother wears a tan sweater with some brown pants. She does have a double-sided head showing smiles on both sides.

The father has on a sand green puffer jacket that seems to be new year themed as it has printing of a gold ingot on the back. His double-sided head shows him with a smile on one side and a winking expression on the other.

The mother has on a red jacket with a fur collar and blue pants. Her double-sided head also shows her with smiling expressions. Her accessory is a brick-built gold ingot.

Lastly we have the child who is wearing the same jacket as his father. His accessory is a printed red envelope.

Build
All six minifigures are able to fit on two minifigure stands that fit inside the firecracker. The stand for the God of Fortune minifigure has a more elevated stand for him.… Continue
